A Nakasi, Nasinu native stewarding a medical services clinic in his community, welcomes Government’s plan for affordable healthcare in Fiji.

Doctor Aoneesh Sharma is the clinic director and chief medical officer of the Nine Miles Medical Centre which opened its doors last February.

On June 17, the clinic celebrated the inauguration of its Nine Miles Pharmacy which the Minister for Finance, Biman Prasad attended as the chief guest.

Two weeks later, last Friday, Mr Prasad announced the 2023-2024 National Budget.

Dr Sharma said the policy would be good for people who find it difficult to afford medication.

His health centre is unique for the wide range of services it delivered to customers in one place.
