Adi Litia Qionibaravi Re-Instated As General Secretary For SODELPA

The Registrar of Political Parties Mohammed Saneem issues the following statement in public interest.

I refer to the Judgement by the Honorable Justice Sharma in Civil Action No. HBC 296 of 2019, and to the respective court orders issued by the Honorable Judge therein.Based on the orders in the Judgement, the Supervisor of Elections, as the Registrar of Political Parties wishes to state that the following changes have been effected in the Register of Political Parties for the Social Democratic Liberal Party.

1. Honourable Ro Filipe Tuisawau has been removed as Party President awaiting the Party to appoint another person based on the Party’s rules.

2. Honourable Adi Litia Qionibaravi is re-instated as General Secretary.

3. Usaia Waqatairewa is removed as Registered Officer as the FEO will await the appointment of a Registered Officer pursuant to Section 11 of the Political Parties Act.

The following changes have been made with immediate effect to ensure the Orders in the Judgement are complied with.
