Former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday did not hold back on his views about former FijiFirst party Members of Parliament who have crossed the floor.
“I really don’t have any time for them,” he said.
Following the deregistration of the party in mid-2024, the former MPs chose to sit as independents in Parliament, distancing themselves from the party that governed Fiji for 16 years under Bainimarama and former Attorney-General and party secretary-general Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

The split contributed to the fragmentation of the former ruling party.
The group later divided further when 11 members, known as Group 11 (G11), broke away and pledged their support to Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.
G11 is led by Minister for Policing and Communications Ioane Naivalurua.
The remaining bloc of 13 members, known as Group 13 (G13), continues to serve as the main Opposition in Parliament and is led by Inia Seruiratu.
Questions were also sent to Mr Sayed-Khaiyum, however he had not responded at the time of publication.
