While Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has stated that there is currently no constitutionally qualified A-G in the Coalition Government, the public has taken to social media their recommendations of a suitable appointee.
In a Facebook post, Mr Lal said no one could deny that Mr Sayed-Khaiyum understood the machinery of Government better than any other sitting ministers.
“Let us be honest, love him or hate him, he was the most qualified, competent, and visionary A-G Fiji has ever had,” Mr Lal said.
“Under his leadership alongside Mr Bainimarama, we saw the modernisation of Fiji’s laws, digital transformation of government services, and strong economic governance that brought structure and accountability.”
