The People’s Alliance Party has rejected claims by Opposition Leader Inia Seruiratu that the Coalition Government is in 'chaos', describing the remarks as misleading and politically motivated.

People’s Alliance general secretary Sila Balawa said the claims were intended to create fear and confusion ahead of the next election.

He said the Coalition Government continued to deliver results for the people of Fiji in key sectors, including health, education, agriculture, infrastructure and economic development.

“The Opposition’s attempt to portray the Government as weak and disorganised is purely political,” Mr Balawa said.

He said Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka was leading the country with focus, stability and accountability, and that Fijians deserved leadership that delivered tangible outcomes.

Mr Balawa called on political leaders to speak responsibly and focus on facts rather than what he described as election-year smears.

“The Coalition Government remains focused on progress, stability and the wellbeing of every Fijian,” he said.
