PM Rabuka reshuffles Cabinet again
Minister Charan Jeath Singh will no longer be responsible for the sugar portfolio.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has announced a Cabinet reshuffle, reassigning ministerial portfolios as the Coalition Government prepares to enter its fourth year in office.
In a statement today, the Prime Minister said the changes would take effect from January 19, 2026, and were aimed at strengthening governance during a critical period.
Notable changes include, Minister Charan Jeath Singh, who will no longer be responsible for the sugar portfolio, as it has been transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture under Minister Tomasi Tunabuna following the Cabinet reshuffle.

New portfolios:
- Sakiasi Ditoka becomes Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade.
- Mosese Bulitavu is appointed Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management.
- Lynda Tabuya takes on the role of Minister for Information, Environment and Climate Change.
- Charan Jeath Singh becomes Minister for Public Enterprises, Multi-Ethnic Affairs, Culture, Heritage and Arts.
- Ifereimi Vasu is appointed Minister for iTaukei Affairs, with responsibility for iTaukei culture, heritage and arts.
- Tomasi Tunabuna becomes Minister for Agriculture and the Sugar Industry.
Prime Minister Rabuka will continue to hold responsibility for Civil Service and Strategic Planning, National Development and Statistics.
He also announced changes to administrative functions, with office accommodation and housing units to be transferred to the Ministry of Public Works, while the Ministry of Civil Service will retain oversight of overall office accommodation and housing policy for Government.
In addition, Sachida Nand has been reassigned as Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Commerce and Business Development.
Mr Rabuka said the changes were made at a crucial stage of the Government’s term, reaffirming the Coalition’s commitment to national development and effective service delivery.
