The proposed NeXTGEN Alliance Party has resubmitted its application for registration to the Registrar of Political Parties.

The proposed party lodged a fresh application with Registrar of Political Parties Ana Mataiciwa today.

Ms Mataiciwa said the proposed party’s earlier application, submitted on November 21, 2025, was rejected after failing to meet the minimum membership requirements for the Northern, Western and Central divisions.

“The FEO is now preparing to publish the party’s application in a newspaper and in the Gazette, as required under the Political Parties (Registration, Conduct, Funding and Disclosures) Act 2013. Once the publication is made, the objections period will officially open,” Ms Mataiciwa said.

During the objections period, members of the public may submit written objections regarding the party’s application for registration.

The FEO said all objections would be assessed and responded to within seven days after the proposed party is given an opportunity to respond.

Following the process, the proposed party will be informed whether its registration application has been approved or rejected.

The decision will be based on compliance with requirements under the Political Parties (Registration, Conduct, Funding and Disclosures) Act 2013.

The FEO said the process was aimed at ensuring transparency and public participation in the registration of political parties.
