Hooker Eyes Flying Fijians Squad

Naitasiri livewire hooker Kavaia Tagivetaua has set his sight to make the Flying Fijians (national rugby team) in the future.
The 21-year-old received the Player of the Match award following their 27-21 win over Fiji Pine Lautoka to claim the INKK Farebother-Sullivan Trophy at Churchill Park, Lautoka last Saturday.
Hailing from Lomanikoro in Bua, Tagivetaua shares maternal links to Namaqumaqua in Serua.

He has been enjoying his season after being drafted into the Fijian Drua development squad.

The former Marist Brothers High School student has been part of the Naitasiri provincial set-up for the third year running. He started his campaign in the Under-19 grade.
Tagivetaua added that tomorrow’s Farebrother challenge clash against Nadroga Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori, would be an interesting one.
“I thank the boys for putting their body on the line and performing such a grand comeback in that tough match.
“This week will be another story and I am looking forward to it.”
Tagivetaua’s mother, Ilisapeci Siganilolo, said she is proud of her son’s commitment to rugby and the pathway he has chosen. The match kicks-off at 3pm.
