Natabua High School senior boys sprinter, Josevata Rasoi, was named the Best Male athlete at Lautoka’s Churchill Park yesterday.
He won three gold medals during the competition. Rasoi took out the senior boys 100m final and later he won gold in the long jump followed by the 4x100m relay.
“I was always part of the field events, this is my first time to take part in the track events and I’m happy that I did well by winning the blue ribbon event,” Rasoi said.

The 18-year-old will now shift his focus to the 2021 Coca Cola Games in Suva where he aims to do better.
The Best Female athlete award went to Jasper Williams High School’s Laisani Hacere and Kinisimere Bete.
NHS topped the boys medal tally with 38 gold, 22 silvers, 4 bronze followed by Saint Thomas High School with 3 gold, 7 silvers, 11 bronze medals.
JWHS claims first place in the girl’s division with 22 gold, 22 silvers, 10 bronze while in second place was Natabua High School with 14 gold medals, 10 silvers, 7 bronze.
