Fiji welterweight boxing champion Winston Hill could be making a return to the ring in February, next year.

This was revealed to SUNsports yesterday by Kings Boxing Promotion promoter Nahroon Buksh.

“Last weekend’s promotion was a great success,” Buksh said.

“I’m planning to put up my third programme in February next year. I’ve got three drawcards now in Mikaele Ravalaca, Junior Binnu Singh and Winston Hill. They are all fighting in my February programme.”

Hill last fought on October 26, last year when he beat Australia’s Lachlan O’Shea on split points decision to claim the IBO (International Boxing Organisation) Asia Pacific super welterweight title.

He went into the fight with a fractured wrist and took a break soon after that to recover.

Hill was Ravalaca’s chief corner man in his fight against Francis Chua in Suva on November 1.

Buksh said he was at Sigatoka in the weekend to join Singh’s family as they celebrate his knockout win over Thailand’s Apichart Klintai to become the WBA (World Boxing Association) Oceania super bantamweight champion.

The wily promoter also highlighted that talks are ongoing with unbeaten Australian heavyweight champion Stevan Ivic of him coming over to fight Fiji heavyweight champion Semi Dauloloma.

In an earlier interview Ivic told SUNsports that he is very much interested of coming over to fight in Fiji. This is because his mum hails from Viria in Naitaisiri.
