The Ba Academy grounds came alive with excitement and youthful energy during the Fiji Football Association's grassroots football festival last Saturday.
Despite persistent rain throughout the day, the festival went ahead as planned.
It showcased the resilience, passion, and determination of young footballers who remained fully engaged in fun-filled sessions designed to improve their skills, teamwork, and love for the game.
Ba Football technical advisor Ravinesh Kumar, along with the players were there to guide and motivate the children.
Their involvement ensured the children received encouragement and support while participating in various development drills and football-based games.
Fiji FA head of development (West), Dhiren Chand, praised the young participants for their commitment and enthusiasm.
"Despite the rain, the energy and passion from the young players were outstanding. This is exactly what grassroots football is about giving children the opportunity to enjoy the game, develop their skills, and build confidence in a supportive environment," Chand told Fiji FA Media.
He also acknowledged the importance of community-based programmes in strengthening Fiji football's future.
"Fiji Football continues to play a key role in developing young talent at the community level. Seeing the coaches, players, and children working together today shows the strength of football development when the community comes together."
The festival continues this Saturday.
