The Oran Park Charges Rugby League Club from New South Wales, Australia donated $20,000 worth of training kit and jerseys to the Nabua community in Suva today.
Club president Scott Gettings said rugby league has the power to connect people beyond borders.
"This is the third year we have done this, and we want to just continue the growth of rugby league in Fiji," Gettings said.
"We hope this bond and relationship continues and I hope the community and players take on the gear and wear it with pride."
He said the support towards grassroots level is vital for the growth of the sport.
"This gear may seem like simple items, it represents friendship, respect and our shared love for the game," he said.
"Wear this gear with pride, rain hard and look after one another. Your dedication, strength and spirit are what make this game special."
Gettings added that their donations included their 2025 range of 150 Jerseys full kits, 300 polo t-shirts and 150 training kits as well.
"The smiles on their faces mean everything, and we're very humble that the community accepted us," he said.
"The colors go well in Fiji, nice bright and vibrant that shows positive energy as well."
Nabua Rugby club chairman Saiasi Fuli said the equipment and gear will be shared among the kids and the two clubs from Nabua.

"We're very thankful to Scott Gettings, so this has been happening for the past few years," he said.
"We've managed to send players to Australia to play for clubs in both rugby union and league."
Fuli indicated that Most of their players that have secured club contracts in Australia donate back to the Nabua club.
"This is in terms of Club resources and financial support," he said.
"In the last two years, our kids club always play in the junior escort Suva rugby competition and we're fortunate that it will be introduced again early this year during the school break."
Fuli added the kids from the Nabua community will utilise the resources provided by Oran Park Charges rugby league club in the junior competition.
"The majority of these kids play in the junior rugby league competition under the Nabua Broncos," he said.
"We are fortunate this is a collaboration between the rugby union and rugby league club, and our church."
He said the collaboration was beneficial as it provides the necessary support for the kids.
"This kind of partnership can hold kids together in terms of their church upbringing and the opportunity for them to pursue whatever they want to do in life," he said.
