Discipline still a worry for captain
Fiji Airways Fiji men’s rugby sevens captain Jerry Matana says the team has taken valuable lessons from the McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s as they prepare for next weekend’s Singapore Sevens, with discipline remaining a key focus area.

Fiji Airways Fiji men's rugby sevens captain Jerry Matana said there have been a lot of learnings from their participation at last weekend's McDonald's Fiji Coral Coast 7s tournament.
Speaking to SUNsports on Tuesday; Matana said they did not reach the goals they had set.
The Fiji 7s training squad has a mixture of experienced and new players.

"The competition in Fiji is very strong right now, with many clubs playing," he said.
"Our training today (Tuesday) we reflected on our performance at the Coral Coast 7s and we're hopeful of lifting our performance in next weekend's Singapore 7s."
Matana reiterated that discipline is still an issue they are working on.
"We had three players yellow carded. Our discipline over the past week has not been at the level we had wanted," Matana said.
"Training has started again this week and we've began working on our discipline again hoping for some improvements."
The Fiji 7s training squad has a mixture of experienced and new players.
"The new players have been told that this is their team and they must show it," Matana added.
