Fiji Babas in bowl final

The Fiji Babas have booked their place in the Fiji Airways Bowl final at the McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s after defeating the USA 21–7 in the semi-final at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.

USA held a 7–0 lead at halftime, applying early pressure on the Babas. However, the hosts staged a strong second-half comeback, scoring three unanswered tries to seal the win.

Winger Alifereti Nainoca played a key role in the turnaround, crossing for multiple tries as Fiji took control after the break.

The Babas were earlier knocked out of Cup contention following a 14–19 loss to Nationwide Sydney Nadi in their final pool match.

They will now contest the Fiji Airways Bowl final against the Axellerate Dominon Brothers as the tournament continues at Lawaqa Park.
