The Sports World Fiji Under-20 team ended their World Rugby U20 Championship with a 29-26 win over Spain in their Pool D clash at the AIA Arena in Kutaisi, Georgia.
The hard-fought victory was Fiji’s first of the tournament as they secured third place in the pool.
The Andrew Osborne coached-side showed resilience and determination throughout the match.
Spain led 18-17 at halftime before Fiji rallied in the second half to claim the three-point win.
Isoa Koroinawa scored two tries, while Francis Peters crossed for the other try.
France and Australia advanced from Pool D to the quarterfinals, while Fiji finished third and Spain fourth.
The World Rugby U20 Championship play-offs continue next Monday.
