The Fijian Drua will be hosting its annual presentation night on June 2, at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa to thank its players and their families for their efforts in the 2026 season.

The presentation night will also serve as a special farewell for players and coaches departing the club as also recognise their contribution to the young players.

This includes the Recognition of annual Player of the Year, Players Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and other key performers.

Not forgetting to acknowledge the contribution and service of coaches like Glen Jackson and Tim Sampson, as well as stars like flanker Elia Canakaivata, wingers Ponipate Loganimasi and Joji Nasova.

“So we’ll have a nice glass of wine together and talk about the five years,” said head coach Glen Jackson (pictured).

“But like Tuesday when we get home, the awards night, obviously it’s been a big occasion the last three years. Very proud to have got that started a couple of years ago.”

He said it is a highlight for the sponsors probably more than the players.

“The sponsors are great to celebrate the efforts and money that they put in to award the players their last time together and get the awards that’s rightly achieved,” said Jackson.

“So looking forward to that evening. It would be much better coming home with a win against a quarter-final team. We would make that awards dinner much tastier.”
