The Northland rugby team is focused on improving their discipline as they face Rewa tomorrow in the Vanua Championship elimination final at the Dawasamu grounds.
The side heads into the match after edging Tavua 20-17 at Garvey Park last Saturday.
Northland coach Epeli Kalo told SUNsports yesterday that discipline remain a key area of focus despite the team’s recent success.
“We are working hard on our scrums, defence and discipline,” he said.
“Playing at home, with our supporters behind us, we cannot allow emotions to get the better of us. We are placing particular emphasis on discipline this week.”
He said preparations were progressing well as the team looked ahead to a match that could determine its future.

“Everything is going well. We are preparing for the elimination final like every other team. However, for us this match is crucial because it will determine whether we progress to the Skipper Cup. We are leaving no stone unturned in our quest to win,” he said.
Kalo has urged their supporters to turn up in big numbers to back the team.
“We want our fans to come and support the boys. The players represent villages throughout the Tailevu North district.
“We are representing Tailevu. We’re playing for our people and supporters.”
In the other elimination final, Taveuni will host Macuata at Ratu Ganilau Park in Savusavu on Saturday.
Both matches kick-off at 3pm.
