Sila Central High School under 18 team will need to strengthen their defense and attack heading into the opening round of the Weet-Bix Raluve zone competition.

Captain Ruth Foraete (pictured) said they’re anticipating a tough clash.

“We are more focusing on our defence, attacks and our fitness level,” she said.

Foraete said those were the areas they lacked in last year and are trying their best to lift up their momentum this year.

“Last year we reached the semi-finals, which was a big improvement for our team.

“We are so proud of what we have achieved. This year we are aiming to go higher, which is all in God’s hands,” Foraete said.

Foraete has encouraged their fans and supporters to come in numbers to support their team for this year’s Weetbix Raluve competition.

“I would like to invite all the ex-scholars of Sila Central High School to come in big numbers and support us this weekend,” she said.

She has acknowledged the support of their families and coaches for their guidance towards their team.

“Thank you for all the support. I’d like to continue thanking our coaches and our families that have been supporting us.

“I want to thank the Lord for His strength, knowledge and wisdom that He’s been giving us throughout these years,” she said.
