We must improve our defence if we are to do well at next weekend's Singapore Sevens.

This was the view of nippy halfback Terio Tamani who strongly believes that their poor defence resulted in their exit from the main competition of the Coral Coast 7s in Sigatoka, last weekend.

"We came back from the Coral Coast and reviewed our performance," he said.

"We have to work on our defence, especially working together as a unit. All the things that we planned and prepared off the field came to nothing due to our defence.

That really cost us on the field where we lost our final pool game. We've too work hard to improve on our defence and also we need to understand the pattern of our games."

The Fiji Babas went on to win the Bowl final.

"I thank the boys for giving their all despite not playing in the main competition. We've a lot of talented players here in Fiji. It is very competitive compared to overseas competition where we also experience different weather conditions," Tamani said.
