New Police recruit salutes late dad at parade
Luiseini Cagica dedicates Commandant’s Book Prize to her late father after 16 weeks of rigorous training.

Police Constable Luiseini Cagica, 21, of Narocivo, Vanuabalavu, Lau, has made her mark in the Fiji Police Force.
She receiving the prestigious Commandant’s Book Prize for the most improved student after completing the gruelling 16-week training programme at the Fiji Police Academy in Nasova, Suva.
PC Cagica, with maternal links in Tarakua, Cicia, Lau says her late father was her biggest inspiration.

“I want to dedicate this achievement to my late dad who died on November 19, last year. He always encouraged me to aim high and do my best,” she said.
She acknowledged the support of her family and her faith.
“I want to thank the Lord Almighty for His guidance during the 16 weeks of training, giving me the strength and knowledge to complete my studies,” she said.
Her motivation to join the police force was driven by a desire to serve the community.
“I was motivated by my family to join the Fiji Police Force and also to uphold the law, prevent crime, and make our Fiji safe,” PC Cagica said.
Winning the Commandant’s Book Prize is a recognition of her hard work, perseverance, and positive mindset.
“If the mind is positive, then positively you will achieve what you dream of,” she shared, offering advice to future recruits.
PC Cagica is now set to continue her training, carrying forward the lessons she learned and the memory of her father as she serves the people of Fiji.
