If the sky was Heaven, then a Ba couple made the right choice to celebrate their 33rd wedding anniversary via national airline, Fiji Airways, on Saturday.

From the soccer town of Ba, Satish Prasad and his wife, Sashi Prasad, joined 200-plus passengers on Fiji Airways Airbus A350-900 XWB on a sunset flight to parts of Fiji.

It was Fiji Airways third special flight since October 10, 2020.

Mr Prasad, who served for more than 40 years as a trailer driver at Dayals Quarries, was acknowledged for his long service, along side 30 other staff members, and their family members, on Fiji Airways sunset flight.

It was the couple’s first time aboard an aircraft

Mrs Wati lost her husband about a year ago, and only wished he was with her on the Saturday sunset flight.

The highlight of her trip was getting to see some parts of Fiji, which she had not travelled to.

She resides with her family in Legalega, Nadi.
