Cleaner Wins New Wheels

Ulamila Green could not believe her ears when she received the phone call to tell her she had won an MG SUV car valued at more than $210,000.

This was from the FMF Foods Limited MIB (making it better) major draw promotion.

The three-month MIB promotion came to an end yesterday.

Winners were announced at the Nausori Market carpark.

“I just got back from the hospital when two of my husband’s friends called saying they had just heard my name being called out since they were at the venue of the announcement,” she said

Ms Green who works as a cleaner at the Nakasi Shop n Save Supermarket said, “my emotions were everywhere when I received that phone call. I am speechless and just so thankful to God and FMF for this win.

“As a couple we planned to buy a car, but God intervened and answered our prayers.”

Whenever, Ms Green purchased FMF products such as flour, biscuits and rice, she did not hesitate in writing her name and contacts at the back of the receipts and dropping them into the promotion boxes.

“I put my name into the draw almost 20 times,” said the Nanuca, Savusavu native.

Second prize winner, Ranjani Singh of Eight Miles had no idea of the announcement until we contacted her yesterday.

“Are you joking? Are you sure?” was her reaction to the news.

Ms Singh had put her name into the draw only once and never expected to win one of the three SUV’s.

“I feel so surprised that I just won a car even my husband is in shock,” said the mother of three.

The third SUV car winner was Silika Vaniqi of Qauia, Lami.

The promotion was launched in November 2019 where customers had the chance to win five x Samsung fridges in November, 5x s10 smartphones in Decmber and five x Samsung 55” TVs the major prizes were 3x MG SUV’s .
