A mother of three children has opened the doors of her home to accommodate students who face hardship in commuting daily to school near her residence.

Vinea Toga, 43, lives with her family at Bala Street, Varadoli, Ba.

Their home is located adjacent to the Ba Sangam College, DAV College and AD Patel College.

“I was just running my mind in circles when the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama announced that school would resume next week for Year 12 and 13,” she said.

Despite being forced to work only three days a week at Bombay Trading, she is adamant to remove the burden on other families who may find it hard to send their children to school.

“Since three schools are near to us and having children for five days during a week is fine,” she said.

“We have planted vegetables in the backyard. Education of our children should not be compromised. Under the grace of God I am extending this arm to assist.”

She said having children at their home was nothing new to them as her children also brought their friends to their home.
