Kamil Muslim College Year 12 top student, Fiza Khan, said scoring 390 out of 400 was only possible through sacrifices.
The 17-year-old now has an aim to be the school dux this year.
Fiza lives in Sarava, Ba with her parents and two siblings. Her only challenge is the level of competition at school.

“I had to sacrifice a lot. I even sacrificed attending family functions so I could focus on my studies,” she said.
“It all paid off.”
She said the main people behind her success were her parents, form teacher and school principal who motivated her. She has already set her future goals for this year and future thereafter.
She wants to become an accountant and hopes to join the University of the South Pacific next year.
Proud mother Shenaaz Begum, 42, said the sacrifices and hard work of her daughter had come to fruition.
“I am very proud of her because she studied very hard and she managed to get through,” she said.
