Kumar Opens Medical Imaging Services In Labasa

What is said to be the first private medical imaging clinic is now operating in Labasa.
Northern Medical Imaging Services opened its doors at Lot 13 Sangam Avenue in Labasa Town yesterday. It is owned by Shivneil Kumar.
He holds a Bachelor of Medical Imaging Science from the Fiji National University’s College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.

The radiographer said after working in the medical field in many parts of Vanua Levu for 10 years, he decided to open a private practice.
He also provides home visits to those who can’t travel to the clinic and are bedridden.
“In our current setting, health is the biggest priority for everyone and life is meant to be lived in a happy way with easier access to world class health care especially in the deprived Northern Division,” he said.
His message of inspiration is: “Never stop walking towards your goal.
“If there are too many thorns in your path change the route. That is what the wise would do. Don’t give up because there is always a way.”
Various services start at $45 and opening hours at the clinic is from 8am to 4:30pm during weekdays and 9am to 1pm on Saturday. It can open on Sundays but depending on the appointments.
Aside from his professional career, Mr Kumar is also a pundit and pet fish breeder.
