Prime Minister Bainimarama Meets United Arab Emirates Fijians In Abu Dhabi

With the staging of the 10th Session of the International Renewable Agency Assembly in the UAE capital city of Abu Dhabi, Prime Minister Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama, also took time out to meet his fellow Fijians.
He also met friends of Fiji from Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Dubai at the Bab Al Qasr Hotel for a talanoa session and dinner on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
Members of the Fijian community presented a sevusevu before Ambassador Kamlesh Prakash gave a brief overview of what the Fijian Embassy has been able to achieve to date.

Ambassador Prakash also acknowledged the contributions made over the years and to date by our Fijian diaspora, in their respective employment fields such as pilots, nurses, teachers, engineers, rugby players and other employment engagements in the UAE.

The PM also visited the Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum and the Masdar City.
This is a planned city project in Abu Dhabi. Its core is being built by Masdar, a subsidiary of Mubadala Development Company, with the majority of seed capital provided by the Government of Abu Dhabi.
Masdar City is designed to be a hub for cleantech companies. Its first tenant was the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, which has been operating in the city since it moved into its campus in September 2010. Masdar is a zero-carbon city which runs entirely on renewable energy
