Fiji aims to make 80 per cent of key government services accessible online by 2030 as part of its National Digital Strategy, Minister for Lands Filimoni Vosarogo announced while opening the Fiji Tech Summit 2025 this morning.
Mr Vosarogo said the government’s digital transformation agenda is well underway, with major initiatives already being rolled out to make public services faster, simpler and more transparent.
“Through digitalisation, the Government is making it easier than ever for our people to access services — reducing queues, eliminating unnecessary delays, and improving efficiency,” he said.

The move is part of the Digital Government Transformation Programme, which includes the digitalFIJI initiative and the businessNOW project.
Mr Vosarogo said these platforms have already delivered real benefits for citizens and businesses.
The “Starting a Business” online system has brought together all agencies involved in business registration into one portal, while a new Building Permits Approval platform is expected to launch soon to simplify construction applications.
He said the government is also conducting a comprehensive mapping of all government services to identify those that need urgent digitalisation.
“Our goal is to proactively transform services so that every Fijian can access government support and opportunities quickly, conveniently, and transparently,” he said.
He encouraged participants to review the National Digital Strategy 2025–2030, launched in April, which also outlines Fiji’s broader plans for digital innovation, cybersecurity, and AI integration.
“Fiji’s digital future will not be defined by our size, but by our speed, our skill, and our spirit,” he added.
