The Women in Tech Fiji continues to inspire and empower a new generation of female leaders who are poised to shape Fiji’s digital future and contribute to a global movement of women driving innovation in technology.

Speaking at the Fiji Tech Summit 2025 at the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort in Natadola, board of director Herna Patel said the chapter was founded to bridge the digital divide and ensure women across Fiji have meaningful opportunities to participate in the technology sector.

“Our purpose is to create an inclusive space where women can access learning opportunities, mentorship, and resources that break traditional barriers to tech participation,” Ms Patel said.
“By promoting inclusivity and equal access, we aim to inspire a new generation of female leaders who will shape Fiji’s digital future while contributing to a broader global movement of women driving innovation in technology.”

Board of director Dipti Sharma added that the chapter connects local talent with global networks, helping women gain visibility, build confidence, and develop the skills needed to thrive in the digital economy.

The chapter recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Datec Fiji, formalising a partnership to support collaborative efforts in advancing women’s roles in ICT.

Now in its fourth year, the Fiji Tech Summit has become a key event for the Pacific region, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and change makers to shape the future of technology.
