Fiji Airways backs Fijian Flying Circus on Australian tour

Fiji Airways is set to support the Fijian Flying Circus on its first Australian tour.

Announced in Brisbane yesterday alongside the Brisbane Festival’s 2026 programme launch, the partnership will see professional Fijian performers travel across Australia, in a contemporary Pacific production that blends storytelling rooted in Fijian myths, legends and folklore with the spectacle of contemporary circus.

The 2026 Australia Tour will reach audiences across Darwin, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, showcasing Fijian talent on some of Australia’s biggest stages including the Brisbane Festival, running from September 4, to October 4, 2026.

For Fiji Airways, the partnership is a natural extension of the airline’s mission to be the World’s Happiest Airline.

As part of the partnership, Fiji Airways will also feature VOU’s circus video on its in-flight entertainment.

“The Fijian Flying Circus is a bold and uniquely Fijian expression of a culture we are privileged to represent. It captures the spirit and energy people experience when they visit Fiji, and we are proud to stand alongside these artists as they take to the stage across Australia.”

Sachiko Soro, founder and director of VOU, said: “This partnership gives our talented Fijian artists wings to fly to audiences all over Australia to share magic moments of human connection.

“Through this partnership Fiji Airways is also enabling the education and training of Fijian youth through our Conservatorium of Dance scholarship programmes. It is my dream that people leaving the Fijian Flying Circus will feel inspired and want to come visit us in our island home.”
