The business confidence in Nadi is looking up with the planned construction of a $16 million plaza beginning in January.

Behind this development between McDonald’s Fiji restaurant and Nalagi Hotel is Vuvale Restaurant Limited, the parent company for international franchise brand, McDonald’s Fiji.

McDonald’s Fiji managing director Marc McElrath said the project would form a new hub with the current McDonald’s property in Nadi.

“The project will feature 150 car-park spaces…the shopping centre is targeted for high-end shops that will lift the profile of the area,” he said.

The timeframe for the Vuvale Plaza is expected to be within 18 months.

Jack’s of Fiji Group of Companies’ construction arm will undertake the construction and design of the building

Group chairperson Dilip Khatri said, “We thank the Vuvale Restaurants for having the confidence and trust in us."
