Weta Coffee (Fiji) opened its second cafe yesterday at Selbourne Street, Suva.

The new and spacious coffee shop also features a playing space for children.

Owner Mue Bentley runs Weta Coffee (Fiji) with her husband Darran Fisher.

Mrs Bentley said it was a long time coming for Weta Coffee (Fiji) to open its second shop.

“I am really excited we have opened the second Weta Coffee (Fiji) as we now have a new kitchen team, a few new front staff serving the coffee.

“We still have the first Weta Coffee shop inside Mobil-On-The-Go Station at Victoria Parade.

“We have doubled the size from the first shop inside the Mobile Station.

“Even though we have opened, we are still looking to see if we have enough staff, we just have to watch and learn,” said Mrs Bentley.

Mrs Bentley says with a new kitchen team, the coffee shop will introduce new dishes to cater for various customers.

“We will still have the famous Weta Coffee and Waffles.

“We introducing Bula bowls for Vegan customers which will serve healthier and lighter breakfast with seasonal ingredients like Avocado toast, smoothie bowls.

“We found in other places that there are many vegetarians but a few vegans, so there is a mix of customers in Suva,” she said.

The Selbourne street coffee shop will also open its Kava bar.

The Kava is supplied from Lami Kava.

Mrs Bently said Weta Coffee (Fiji) will be serving Kava themed cocktails as part of their menu.

“We have yet to launch our Kava chaser, fruit platters which can be served to those customers who wish to have kava.

She said: “The decorations, the walls and paintings are the reflections of our home.

“We live in Colo-i-Suva and we have a lot of plants so we try and replicate it to the business.

“We try and make it look earthy and comfortable.
