Papua New Guinea remained the largest single driver of revenue for Amalgamated Telecom Holdings (ATH), as the group surpassed $1billion this year, from $935.95 million in 2024.
The move was supported by resilience across Fiji and the broader Pacific, said chairperson Attar Singh.
This year marked a milestone for ATH Limited as revenue was the highest ever achieved.
“This reflects our expanding footprint and operational efficiencies,” Mr Singh said.
Looking ahead, the group remained focused on the rollout of 5G across Fiji, Samoa, and other Pacific markets, and expanding digital and mobile money platforms such as M-PAiSA across the region, he said.
The group reported a net profit before tax of $27.53 million, a strong increase from $3.16 million in the 2024 financial year, chief executive officer, Ivan Fong said.
“Despite facing challenges, including a major earthquake in Vanuatu that caused temporary disruption, our resilience and strategic focus have sustained the group’s growth,” chief executive officer Ivan Fong said.
“Our net assets have also remained steady, closing at $605 million, with PNG operations actively ramping up market share and expanding their presence, contributing significantly to the overall success of the group.”
Net profit before tax rose sharply t reflecting improved operational efficiency and growth across all markets, Mr Fong said.
“We are actively undertaking organisational restructuring to streamline our operations, improve tax efficiency, and enhance cash flow to ATH,” Mr Fong said.
“These efforts are aligned with our goal of ensuring sustainable long-term growth and maximising stakeholder value. The industry continues to evolve rapidly, driven by digital transformation, increased mobile penetration, and the adoption of emerging technologies such as 5G.”
Mr Fong said the group would explore new markets, and strengthening digital offerings to meet increasing connectivity needs.
