One of Fiji’s youngest music labels plans to have its artists perform at international levels within the next five years.

VTBOP is stamping its mark in the music industry where it looks after the development of 10 artists.

“Our motto is to take Fiji music to the world, said the label’s public relations officer,” Hayden Wasile.

VTBOP was established last November. It has since released two albums.

“We want to secure a stable income stream for artists.

Mr Wasile said the sale of the two albums has been great with several music lovers from abroad buying the albums.

It hosted two shows since it launched its business.

However, the label is being challenged by copyright infringements.

“Our music is being used illegally,” said Mr Wasile.

VTBOP executives met with other stakeholders about two weeks ago to discuss the matter.

They have agreed to work together to develop the industry.

“We are planning to have the VT1s concert an annual event,” said Mr Wasile.
