Blue Lagoon Relaxes Cancellation And Amendment Fees

One of Fiji’s leading cruise operators Blue Lagoon Cruises, waived cancellation fees in a bid to gain customer confidence on the back of fears imposed by coronavirus, the company said in a statement.
The company said some pre-booked and potential guests traveling from long haul destinations may have had their itineraries affected through travel restrictions imposed as a result of coronavirus.

It said it understood concerns shared by pre-booked guests and potential clients over global reports about the virus spreading on large international cruise liners.
“In order to further reassure and provide confidence to trade partners, pre-booked guests and those travellers considering booking on a Blue Lagoon Cruise in the near future, Blue Lagoon Cruises would like to offer a temporary relaxation to our standard cancellation and amendment policy.

“Pre-booked guests confirmed to travel on any Blue Lagoon Cruise departure for the remainder of 2020 or across the first half of 2021, can postpone their cruise within 72 hours of departure, without incurring any cancellation or amendment fees.”
Guests can alter their departure date for an unlimited amount of times until, June 28, 2021.
Changes to dates will be subject to availability, Blue Lagoon Cruises said.
Bookings on Blue Lagoon Cruise until April 30, 2020, will also be postponed 72 hours before departure, without incurring any cancellation or amendment fees.
“They can continue to plan and book their travel with us without the fear of being charged cancellation or amendment fees,” the company said.
