The Boathouse Nanuya has taken the lead in following the strict protocols for COVID-Safe business operations.
The Boathouse is part of the Nanuya Island Resort group and it is located adjacent to the resort in the Yasawa Group.
It has its own general store, bar, activities and day tour centre, commercial laundry and accommodation.

Resort group general manager, Aquila Kula said after the strict protocols for COVID-safe business operations were introduced recently, they revised it thoroughly in order to follow the right measures put in place.
“After the Government has put all those tough safety measures in place, we revised it thoroughly and ensure that we follow it vigilantly.
The Boathouse general store is compliant with COVID-19 safety protocols.
“We might have our jobs today and we might lose our jobs tomorrow if we are not careful.
“For all of Naviti up to the northern parts of Yasawa, we are the only ones looking after all the local villages and that was our main drive.”
Mr Kula said they started their safety precaution when people arrive on their shores for shopping.
“We started screening.
“We do not allow any Tom, Dick or Harry here.
“We do not allow any other people to enter the property unless they came for shopping.
“We have only limited people who come into the shop.
“I wanted the team to take pride in taking the lead in safely keeping the Yasawa tourism industry by executing such safety measures,” he added.
