The Seaweed Industry is a lucrative industry that can help improve food and income security in rural, remote and maritime communities.
Currently, 18 communities in the country are farming seaweed successfully.
“We are working towards revitalizing several farms in the Eastern and Western divisions with the hope of further growing this flourishing industry,” the industry said.
