The Days Inn by Wyndham is set to establish itself as a pinnacle of hospitality excellence in Nadi, offering unparalleled experiences to global visitors.

This follows the announcement on Saturday by the Public Service Association Investment Company Pte Limited (PSAICFPL) and Cove Management Pte Limited, marking their historic agreement for a hotel construction project at Ramada Suites in Wailoaloa, Nadi.

This landmark project signifies an exciting new chapter for both companies, bringing to life a state-of-the-art, 101-bedroom hotel in the vibrant Martintar strip of Nadi.

Valued at $50 million, the project represents a significant milestone for the investment company’s strategic expansion into the hospitality industry.

PSA Investment Company managing director, Rajeshwar Singh, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with CML and the opportunity to operate a Wyndham Hotels and Resorts branded hotel.

“This project not only marks our entry into the hospitality sector but also reflects our commitment to driving economic growth and creating job opportunities in Fiji.

“We believe the Days Inn by Wyndham Nadi Martintar will set a new standard for hospitality in the region.”

Mr Singh highlighted that the six-storey hotel will epitomise modern luxury and convenience, featuring elegantly designed rooms with fully functional kitchens and laundry facilities.

Designed to cater short-term and extended-stay guests, each room will include a kitchenette, emphasising Wyndham’s dedication to providing a home away from home experience for families, business travelers, and long-term guests.

Wyndham’s Vice President of Development for Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim, Matt Holmes, expressed delight in collaborating with PSAICFPL and CML on this groundbreaking project.

“Our shared vision of delivering exceptional guest experiences through sustainable development forms the cornerstone of this partnership. We are confident that Days Inn by Wyndham Nadi, Martintar will become a premier destination for travelers worldwide.”

Project timeline

Construction is scheduled to commence in 2025, with an estimated completion by mid-2026.

Co-director of Cove Management Limited, Mark Hinton, affirmed CML’s commitment to ensuring that the project maintains the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the construction process.

This will be CML’s third property, following Ramada Suites and the upcoming Wyndham Garden in Wailoaloa.

Strategic location

Martintar was chosen for its strategic significance and vibrant local culture.

Located just minutes from Nadi International Airport, the Martintar strip is a bustling hub of tourism and commerce.

“The new hotel is expected to significantly boost local tourism, providing sustainable economic growth for the region,” said Mr Singh.

Economic impact and opportunities

The investment is projected to have a profound impact on the local economy, creating numerous job opportunities during the construction phase, ranging from skilled labour to project management positions.

Upon completion, the hotel will provide substantial employment opportunities, contributing to sustained economic growth in the region.

“This project is expected to stimulate local businesses, including suppliers, contractors, and service providers, thereby generating a ripple effect of economic benefits.”

Sustainable development

PSA Investment Company, Wyndham, and Cove Management are committed to integrating sustainable practices throughout the hotel’s management and operations.

“The hotel will employ eco-friendly materials and technologies to minimise its environmental footprint,” added Mr Singh.

“Energy-efficient lighting, water conservation systems, and waste reduction initiatives will be integral components of the hotel’s operations, aligning with our broader goals of promoting environmentally responsible development.”
