Do What You Love & Love What You Do: Turaganiwai

A professional mixologist, Sitiveni Tura­ganiwai loves his job.

He is the bar manager at Kanu Gastro­pub, in Knolly Street, Suva.

A mixologist may work occasionally in a bar­tending capacity, but their job title implies that they do a significant portion of their job behind the scenes, creating new craft cocktails and put­ting their signature twist on existing favorites.

Kanu Gastropub owned by renowned Chef Lance Seeto is Fiji’s first gastropub and Trip Advisor’s Travelers Choice 2022 winner.

Mr Turaganiwai is from Seaqaqa, Macuata, and has been in the field for the past 13 years working in hotels, nightclubs, restaurants, ca­fes, and bars.

Being a big fan of Lance Seeto, he often watched the Television series and noticed that not many bars in Suva specialises in gourmet cocktails.
