Optimism in the Fijian economy has pushed entrepreneur Amit Sinha to invest in his third restaurant, Chatori Chaat in Namaka, Nadi.

Founded and driven by restaurant Mr Sinha, it is an authentic Indian street food express outlet located at the Ratsun building owned by Supermarket chain Shop N Save.

Originally from India, Mr Sinha has lived in Fiji for 15 years.

He said his restaurant has been doing well since opening in mid-November last year.

He added that the main aim was to try to do break even or at least to let go in this COVID-19 crisis.

Mr Sinha’s determination has seen him open a new restaurant worth $30,000 and has created five new jobs.

“Due to the pandemic the situation is very bad, but one should have the courage to start,” he said.
