Kameli Batiweti is the new Fiji Airways Executive Manager Industry, International & Government Affairs & Corporate Communications.

Mr Batiweti’s role at the national airline is crucial in building strong relationships and drive effective communication that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.

He joined the airline last month.

Roles 

He current acts as a key point of contact for international stakeholders, including foreign governments, embassies, and trade offices.

It is understood that he will engage with government officials and policymakers to champion the national airline’s interests.

One of his key role focuses on managing the company’s overall communication strategy.

He will oversee the development and execution of public relations campaigns, including media relations and brand management.

He and his team would have to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication with various stakeholders.

It is understood that Mr Batiweti took over most of the roles that former Fiji Airways chief customer experience, officer and Fiji Link chief executive officer Shaenaz Voss oversaw at the national airline.

Professional background 

The former Fiji Employers and Commerce Federation chief executive officer is a seasonal executive with over 35 years of work experience covering leadership, human resources, marketing, finance and more.

He has more than two decades of experience as part of the senior management teams in multinational brands such as Coca Cola and The Sheraton Hotel and Resorts .

Mr Batiweti is the current president for the Fiji Human Resources Institute (FHRI).
