Fiji Ports Corporation Ltd Nab Double Awards

Fiji Ports Corporation Limited staff and management were recognised for their many years of hard work when they bagged two awards at the Prime Minister’s International Business Awards.
The awards were held at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort at Denarau, Nadi on Saturday
Fiji Ports won the Excellence in E-Commerce Transformation Award and Best Crisis Recovery Initiative Award.

The latter’s award category was open to all organisations which responded to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis with intelligence and outstanding teamwork.
The award reflected on how these organisations’ response to the pandemic in the form of innovation and adaptation.
“We are delighted because this really is a combination of hard work and finally coming to the recognition of all the work that we have been doing for the past years,” Fiji Ports Corporation Limited chief executive officer Vajira Piyasena said.
“These awards are in particular categories, so this is a major achievement for all our staff, Fiji Ports management and also our board of directors.
“With the number of awards we received this year, we will have our annual gala dinner next month for all our employees to thank them for their contribution and have them recognised.”
Earlier this month, the company had won two awards at the Fiji Business Excellence Awards.
The company won the President’s Award and the Green Sustainability Award.
