A brand reflects the values of an organization or business, and for tourism destinations, it represents the national values that inspire and attract the world to visit.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Viliame Gavoka, said this during the launch of Tourism Fiji’s new brand, ‘Where happiness comes naturally,’ at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa in Denarau.

Mr Gavoka noted that the launch marked a significant milestone for Team Fiji. He stressed the importance of a brand, saying that it personifies the desire, connection, and story that travelers seek.

He explained that a brand is chosen for its competitive advantage and should stand the test of time, becoming part of a nation’s identity, not just as a marketing arm or government agency, but as a reflection of the people and culture.
