Fiji’s economic recovery is better than expected, says Governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji, Ariff Ali.
He made a presentation at the International Conference on business, Hospitality and Tourism (ICBHT) at Namaka campus in Nadi last Saturday.
“Following two years of sharp contraction that wiped out almost one-quarter of the Fijian economy; counter-cyclical fiscal policies, and accommodative monetary policy coupled with high vaccination rate paved the strong recovery in 2022 with the reopening of the borders in December 2021,” Mr Ali said.
