The Harbour Gardens Apartments project along Princes Road in Suva is undoubtedly an eye catcher to daily commuters.

The multi-million dollar high end living project is expected to have 16 units on sale by first quarter 2021.

All 48 are expected to be completed by 2022.

However, Building Design Consultants - Dezyn Workz Limited director, Alvin Singh, said the completion dates were rather flexible at the moment, and they would not want to predict dates, given the current pandemic.

Dezyn Workz Limited is working with developers - Great Han International Company Ltd.

When asked if the project was on schedule, Mr Singh said: “Although the project had been primarily on schedule, design amendments had required some time and then obviously now COVID-19 has caused further delays.”

He said professional expert installers of their finishing materials and furnishings were also unable to travel due to the current travel restrictions.

“However, local construction workers and professionals have been continuously employed throughout the entire duration,” Mr Singh said.

Project

Mr Singh said the project would eventually house 48 units in total,

  • with 24 x 2 bedroom luxurious units and 24 x 3 bedroom luxurious units.
  • “16 units should be ready for sale before the first quarter of 2021.”

All units will be fully serviced with;

  • 24 hours site security and CCTV monitoring systems,
  • Separate gas and electricity meters,
  • Keyless entry,
  • Swimming pool,
  • Air conditioning,
  • Gym facilities
  • Harmony garden, with outdoor BBQ facilities,
  • Dedicated owner and disabled person parking.
  • It will also have breathtaking, sunrise and sunset views of the Suva harbour on the rooftop gardens on each building,
  • It is only a five minute drive to the city centre.

Building materials

Mr Singh said the core materials were all procured locally, and they have only imported finishing items.

“One thing we have imported is the three layer glass window systems which provides owners greater sound proofing and noise reduction properties within their unit.”

Buyers

Whilst the units will be marketed both locally and internationally, Mr Singh urged local home buyers to take advantage of the Government incentives for first home buyers.

He added they can invest in this wonderful opportunity to own a strata title, fully serviced unit.

“Prospect owners also have the option to choose from a fully furnished luxurious setup ready for occupancy.

“Or a completed shell (unfinished) setup with the option of setting it up to one’s individual preference.”
