The Fiji Link Domestic VIP Lounge called the Flying Fijian Club was officially opened at Nadi International Airport last night.

The Fiji Airways National 7s Coach, Gareth Baber had the privilege to officially open the lounge before flying out with the boys to Los Angeles.

The lounge featured a state of the art services sports theme lounge.

Fiji Airways Managing Director and chief executive officer, Andre Viljoen said the lounge was named the Flying Fijian Club for a reason.

“It’s to honour you, this club is for you, this lounge is for our VIP domestic travellers and also VIPs of Airports Fiji Limited where we have a partnership.

“But we have also decided to open it to the Fiji Airways rugby team whenever you fly internationally, if you need a place to come and talk this club is open to you,” he reminded the boys.

Mr Viljoen said he was proud of what the boys achieved in Hamilton, New Zealand.

“We have done a lot in Fiji Airways and Fiji Link to lift up our customer services; this is the step into that direction. Domestic we also have a VIP lounge,” he added.

Mr Baber thanked the Fiji Airways Group for their support and for thinking of the boys.

“When people do things like this for you ahead of time without you knowing it’s a huge boost,” he added.
