Foneology’s senior technician, Pratima Kumar, walked away with the third spot in a competition that involved her peers across New Zealand.
Ms Kumar was among the top three winner of the 2020 second quarter Samsung tech competition for hand held products (HHP).
Her win brings to four the number of times Foneology was recognised in the past two years, in the Samsung technician reward programme set up by Samsung Electronics New Zealand.

Ms Kumar joined Foneology in early 2015, and is one of two female Samsung mobile phone repair technicians working with Foneology.
Only one outside of NZ
Foneology is the only service company outside New Zealand to participate in the technician reward programme, competing alongside technicians across New Zealand.
Foneology managing director, James Trusler, said: “Pratima was the chosen technician to attend this year’s Samsung flagship training in New Zealand.
She left for New Zealand in February, before travel restrictions were implemented through COVID-19.
Samsung Electronics New Zealand service manager, Joshua Milner, said: “Samsung really appreciates the effort of all Foneology technicians and Pratima’s recognition once again demonstrates Foneology’s technical expertise in the region.”
Foneology technicians and administration staff are trained by Samsung and are on the same skill levels as Samsung technicians in New Zealand.
