FPTC Appoints Reshma Chand to its Board

New Fiji Public Trustee Corporation board of directors member, Reshma Chand.
The Fiji Public Trustee Corporation has announced the appointment of Reshma Chand to its Board of Directors.
Ms Chand, currently serving as Director of Finance at Basic Industries Pte Limited.
She brings over 19 years of experience in finance and auditing, with a strong focus on governance and financial management.

Ms Chand has worked across various sectors including financial services, utilities, tourism, hospitality, insurance, and government statutory bodies, both in Fiji and other Pacific Island Countries.
Her expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and IFRS for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) has enabled her to lead successful financial reporting conversions for major organisations.
Ms Chand is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, CPA Australia, and the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants (FICA). She is a Council Member with FICA and is also actively involved in the community, serving as Treasurer of the Fiji Chess Federation.
Liliana Warid, chairperson of the Fiji Public Trustee Corporation said Ms Chand’s extensive experience would add significant value to the organisation.
Ms Chand replaces Verenaisi Takirua who resigned from the board in July 2024.
