Funds To Develop Tourism Sector In The North

The Minister for Fi­nance Biman Prasad has hinted that some funds may be allocated in the 2023 to 2024 National Budget for the development of the tourism sector in the North.

Mr Prasad said the tour­ism sector would remain the main important sector for the economy but there was a need to diversify.

Economic diversification is another area the Govern­ment would focus on, he said.

“We will also need to look at how we can increase regional development,” he said
