Hotel Reopens After $10M Revamp

The newly revamped Yatule Resort and Spa, located on Natadola Beach, is set to officially reopen on Monday, following a $10 million facelift.
Tourism Fiji’s team, who recently visited the property, expressed their admiration for the resort’s refreshed appearance.
“Kudos to Damend and his team for the transformation, and we look forward to the official opening on September 9,” said Tourism Fiji chief executive officer Brent Hill.

Mr Hill highlighted that such projects demonstrate the promising future of Fiji’s tourism industry, attracting both local and foreign investors.
He said that the investments in the industry not only create jobs but also stimulate growth in supporting sectors, reflecting the value seen in Fiji’s tourism by investors.
The resort’s managing director, Damen Goundar, announced that the property is fully booked for September and shared their excitement about hosting the upcoming event, ‘Tourism Share: A Collaborative Evening.’
This event will feature key figures in the tourism industry, including Deputy Prime Ministers and Minister for Finance Biman Prasad, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Viliame Gavoka, and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica, who will discuss key trends and emerging opportunities in the sector.
The resort’s staff, who were temporarily relocated to sister properties during the renovation, are set to return as the resort gears up for its reopening.
