Inclusive productivity is expected to benefit Fijians in both private and public sectors while adopting traditional approaches.
This was stated by the Solicitor General for the office of the Attorney General, Ropate Green Lomavatu while officiating the 2024 Business Excellence Conference and the 29th National Convention on Innovation and Quality at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa in Denarau on Wednesday.
He said that the Fiji Business Excellence Awards (FBEA) had become a beacon for quality for Fijian businesses.

He said that the conference goes beyond discussions and beyond empowering organisations to test ideas rather implement solutions and achieve measurable results.
He added that Fiji had reaped significant benefits being part of the Asia Productivity Organisation (APO), through the membership.
Fiji has gained valuable insights into international best practices and benchmarks, which have established the country to continuously enhance national productivity and quality management system, Mr Lomavatu said.
Meanwhile Fiji National University vice chancellor Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba said, “Alongside the FBEA, the 29th National Quality & Innovation Conference (NQIC) continues to empower organisations to implement practical solutions and achieve tangible outcomes.”
She added that focus on excellence contributes to promoting sustained, inclusive economic growth, and productive employment.
She also said that FNU was investing in digital development by integrating digital tech into curriculum and campus operations.
“This helps enhance learning experiences and improves the efficiency of our administrative processes. Moreover, strategic partnerships with industries, government agencies, and international institutions,” said Ms Baba.
Pro Vice-Chancellor, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Pasifika and National Training & Productivity Centre, Dr Isimeli Tagicakiverata stressed that the presentations would provide a unique platform for sharing insights, best practises and experience relating to productivity and quality.
